Why Trio Gaudì?
First of all the name was chosen to pay homage to the famous artist who distinguished himself by his imagination and creativity. But the choice of such a binding name was born by the study of the work of the Catalan architect; in fact our group made some musical choices related to the study of the architect works.
Like Gaudì’s art, our repertoire of images can’t be part of an “official” musical context. The pieces we have chosen to propose to the public have been the results of a careful study of the 20th century. In these pieces it is possible to find the influence of the European culture and on the other hand the experimentalism of last century. Like Gaudì we love searching for a personal language and we try to interpret in a modern way the sounds in distant times, such as bright colours. We think that these colours, like the colours of the sun and the Mediterranean sea, are able to convey a sense of living to people who look and listen to them.
